We have a very full P-day planned, so this has got to be short.
We've been finding rodent sign in our apartment, so we got some traps. Just before going to bed, we found the culprit under the bed in the room. After a fair amount of excitement and yelping from Elder Graham, we managed to corral it into the bathroom, where we placed a trap and shut the door. We figured the trap would get it over night and the problem would be solved. Then at 4:00 in the morning the shower turned on. So, we had to take action. I checked the trap, and it was empty, so I slipped inside prepared to fight it out with the rodent. When I entered, the bathroom was a wreck. The rodent had been everywhere and knocked over all the bottles in the room and the soap from the soap dish. And turned on the shower. I spooked it, and it and jumped down the drain (it had removed the grate and a metal insert). Crazy. That's where it is now, somewhere in the pipes. We had a couple problems with it coming back out, and once when an elder was showering. So we put weights on the drain. We're going to get some rat poison later and see if that will solve the problem.
My companion said he's never had an area where it's been so hard to get and keep investigators, even though this area has been a good one in the past. All three companions in our district are training a new missionary though, which might have something to do with it.
We invited a security guard last week. He has tattoos and many piercings, but we talked with him anyways. So far, he's been the most solid investigator, and has a baptismal date for March 8th. It's great, because he just sits and watches a building for hours every day, so he's often open to meeting with us.
Thanks everyone for your support!
